The Gloom of Anguish: Isaiah 8-9

In seasons of fear and uncertainty, we try to establish a measure of control for ourselves. We seek explanations—What is going on? We seek advice—What should I be doing?

It’s very, very important where we go for those answers and for that counsel.

Isaiah 8:11-9:7 recounts the ways that Judah is descending into the Gloom of Anguish, and what God is doing to lead people out of the Gloom of Anguish.
