Nevertheless: Psalm 74:21-24

Asaph begins this Psalm by saying, “God is good to good people.” But that theology ends up with him nearly throwing in the towel on his faith.

But Asaph undergoes a massive shift when he goes “into the sanctuary of God.” First, he realizes that he’s not good, he’s bad. Second, he realizes that God’s not just good, He’s gracious. God’s not good to good people; He’s gracious to sinners.
