Psalm 107:4-9, From Lost to Found, Empty to Full

The first redemption-story that Psalm 107 tells has to do with the common human condition—the state in which we all are, which we gradually recognize as we mature. We are lost, without a home, and with an aching awareness of being empty where we ought to be full.

That’s where we all have been, or are, but that’s not where we had to, or have to, remain. Why?

That’s the story of Christmas, isn’t it?
