Amos begins with a shocking (if typical) prophet move—get us all hyped up about our enemies, and then flip the mirror around and point it at us!

The prophets can make us uncomfortable. Is that okay? Like, hunger, some discomfort is a sign of health. It is through this discomfort that the Spirit leads us to growth in Christ.
