Ending the Anxiety-Economy: Matthew 6:19-34

We want to appear righteous, so that we reap social rewards, so that...we're safe and secure from financial distress; that's the real "anxiety economy." We suspect that only money--or the things money can buy--can relieve our anxieties. But Jesus teaches the futility of that way of thinking, and that the only thing that can relieve our anxieties is knowing and trusting our relationship with the Heavenly Father. Jesus calls us to follow Him in treasuring the truths of that relationship as our real treasure.
