Why doesn't transformation happen...more? First, because it's "one degree" at a time: transformation is really formation. Second, because the Holy Spirit isn't alone in attempting to form us a certain way. Our formation becomes conforming to the world when we passively allow false-needs to take over. The Holy Spirit alerts us to true needs, and satisfies them in Jesus, through the Bible and the Church.
